Cleaning the Curtain with Toilet Water is about a hybrid planet that is virtually destroyed. This work explores trash, decay and a morbid playfulness. The installation depicts a person putting together a set for a theatre. The person building the set uses materials readily found in their environment. A decapitated head is easily attainable and useful as a counter weight. The head is attached to a rope and pulls up a curtain containing several animal rib cages and the imprint of a forgotten body. The hollow space of a carcass trapped under layers of burlap, plaster, and house paint echo the body, inflicting environmental deterioration. This reflects the world we live in today, a cycle of constant creation, consumption, and disposal.
